Well, here you go…
Audrey Hepburn! Voted the world’s most beautiful woman on a poll conducted by Evian, she is best remembered for her role in the Truman Capote masterpiece Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and its this superb piece of cinema I’ll be talking about today.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the film that conquered the Romance genre, is still the best of its kind.
I’ll just give you a little summary of this sensational movie, if you haven’t experienced this timeless classic.
Paul Varjak, a writer (much like me, but not as handsome 
), relocates to an apartment in New York. He soon meets and falls for his neighbour, Holly Golightly. Holly is a mystery to Paul. She is a socialite at first glance, a wonderfully outgoing person, but then Paul starts to fall for the real Holly, the sweet and shy girl.
Before I start ranting about this amazing movie and just how amazing it really is, I thought I’d direct your attention to the picture.
No, there isn’t any fashionable leg wear in this shot, but the dress tells us all we need to know.
When it comes to evening wear, there are two brands of hosiery that spring to my mind, and each one offer you different things.
Cervin, one of our best sellers is made with this outfit in mind. Their back seam stockings are tried and tested, and perfect for little black dresses, gift item for that special someone and great for lengthening your legs!
Cervin is exceptional for black dresses and ball gowns, but I’d take Holly for more of a Falke girl. Falke is without a doubt the best brand in production today. If Tiffany’s sold hosiery, they’d sell Falke. This German manufacturer is family run and has been refining its technique for decades. This kind of hosiery is perfect for your little black dress and is suited for any formal occasions.
Specifically, I’d recommend very sheer, black and with a slight sheen. Falke Seidenglatt 15. You can’t go wrong with black sheers, they’re elegance in a nutshell!
But if Miss Golightly is anything, she is a socialite! So black sheers might not be outgoing enough for her. If you are looking to be seen, fashion hosiery is always a good idea. While our WOW Fashion section is the loudest, Holly is the kind of girl that would go for something a little more understated. The Oroblu Shakira is great for anything gold you might be wearing, or the Trasparenze Gelsey, for that fabulous diamond necklace Miss Hepburn has on in the picture.
I’d also like to cover the last scene, where Paul, Holly and “Cat”, caught in a rainstorm, embrace to the closing credits.
The thing that made this scene so stylish was the raincoats.
Again, sheers are in order, but a natural colour is the best for this kind of look (minus being really wet). Pierre Mantoux has you covered! The Pierre Gloss is the hosiery for the job! This item is seamless, for the best and most comfortable fit possible. These also come in a matt version, so if you want your legs to have the authentic Golightly look, I’d go for this one.
Again, I can’t leave you out in the rain (…sorry) without recommending you some fashion. Max Mara Dimma, a great natural coloured item with a tattoo pattern that just lifts the whole design!
Well, I think I’ve just about done it! All the fashion advice I can give, thanks to the world’s most attractive woman in her most stylish role! Gosh, how am I gonna outdo this one?
