Since I was a teenager, wearing ultra sheer hosiery has made me feel sexy and sophisticated and is somehow bound up with what it means to be feminine. I’m from a generation that hates the modern trend of going bear legged, so favoured by celebrities and modern fashion.
These beautiful 5 denier tights by Pretty Polly are just exquisite, gossamer thin, yet much stronger that the original incredibly delicate true 5 denier that PP first made about 20 years ago, in which I got married, getting through two pairs in one day. What I like about these Almost Naked tights is that they’re true sheer-to-waist (same weave as the legs) and they don’t have Lycra, with its horrible rubbery feel. They are more like ultra sheers used to be made 20 or 30 years ago. For me they’re the classiest tights on the market by far, with Bronze working wonders visually in warm or ambient light.
