Velia is a range of mostly ankle highs that Pierre Mantoux
have designed to forego the timeless that many designers strive for, such as designing with argyle, backseams, stripes and chequered patterns, in favour of something more explosive. Velia Sugar Ankle Highs are actually the only ones that are not filled to the brim with colour, but they still have what it takes to dazzle. The have a contrasting white and black colour scheme that is just as impactful as the sherbert sweet shades of its brothers and sisters, and they have a certain old school big band feel to them too. Imagine a blues band or a Gatsby-esque musical troupe in the '30s and you might imagine a lot of black and white. They go with a great deal because of this but the complex lace and the powerful contrast also make them a show stopper, like the whole Velia range.
