Haute Couture SS17 Tights Report: The Must-Have Hosiery Styles

Haute Couture Spring-Summer is over, not without leaving us some memorable moments. Over the last years, we have seen hosiery becoming more and more relevant for Couture designers. The spring summer catwalks didn’t feature many hosiery styles, though. Things have turned different at Haute Couture SS17 and fashion brands, such as Jean Paul Gaultier or Dolce Gabbana, have dressed their models in tights. If you want to think ahead next season, check out our Couture SS17 Tights Report, featuring the must-have hosiery styles every tights fan should own in 2017!

Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad went all crazy for the polka dot tights. Who hasn’t gone crazy for dotty tights after all? The designer paired them with lipstick red, cobalt blue and black silk gowns, sparkly embellishments and floral patterns.

Once more Dolce Gabbana amazed everyone with a stunning collection, proving that classics never die. The Italian house paired several of their designs with black fishnet tights. You can upgrade your look with a pair of fishnet tights starting at £3.99.

Great news for hosiery fans! Sandals and patterned tights are hot in 2017

It wasn’t easy to spot, but managed to catch it! Bella Hadid spotted lace tights for Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, who introduced a few lace tights here and there, some them combined with sandals. Last season we spotted many sandals-and-tights and sandals-and-socks looks at the Ready-to-Wear catwalks. Not it looks like Couture catwalks also join the trend!

We are used to Jean Paul Gaultier catwalks including tights and that is exactly what makes us love Jean Paul Gaultier designs even more. This season Jean Paul Gaultier has moved into daring coloured tights: cute floral printed tights, matching the accessories and the colour of the whole outfit.

Fashion tights really make a difference. By the way, we noticed that Jean Paul Gaultier paired coloured tights and sandals in similar tones. Just like Pierre Mantoux in the picture above! Take notes for your Spring Summer looks!
