This is one of Oroblu's more abstract pair of hold ups, something that's a little more new to them than the ornateness they ordinarily choose. Here, the patterning doesn't resemble anything concrete, but is still plenty beautiful and entrancing. But like everything Oroblu produce, it has a little bit of the traditional in there somewhere. This pattern might be abstract now, but it's based on the more familiar patterning that would have been used in old European interior design. The tessellating diamond pattern is a very common style of decoration in rococo and baroque styles of design. It's the perfect balance of old and new, familiar and original.
