Anagni is named for one of the oldest communities in Max Mara's home land of Italy. Possibly older than Rome herself, this quaint little town has all the charm of a rural Italian settlement and all the sumptuous beauty that the palaces and cathedrals that nation has to offer. This design attempts to capture some of that by imitating the sparkling and shimmering gold leaf of the churches' vaulted ceilings and the powerful, yet serene and gentle beauty of their interiors. These knee highs by Max Mara are simple and humble, but with a certain beauty and majesty to them, and they are a wonderful tribute to the history of Max Mara's home.
